Today some people have taken their valuable time out to email me about the post I put up yesterday.
I’ve been informed that my post was wrong because of other things I should be posting about that they feel are right to post about and how dare I.
One kind person even lectured me that unless I was posting about something far worse last week, I had no ‘right’ to post about anything this week.
It seems that my particular style of, “Let’s stop and have a think about this” blog does not conform to a standard of emotional subjectivity. I’m unaware of such an internationally agreed upon standard of emotional response.
So, in my ignorance – and to apologise to those kind, explainey folk who contacted me (via the hardly ever used [email protected], bless their tiny little black hearts) – I’m posting this picture of Kenneth Williams expressing the appropriate levels of emotional reaction to that thing you think he should.
(PS: If someone could get hold of the fully Ratified International Standard for Emotional Responsiveness 2014, please feel free to take it elsewhere)
